Things to not do to a keyless remote

Mine periodically gets baulky and I have to clean the contacts. I tried putting dilectric grease on them to see if it would make it work better and it completely refused to work at all until I cleaned it off. Put this on the list of things to not do again.

Maybe you did not understand that the characteristic of dielectric grease is that it is non-conductive.

I learned the hard way not to let the 2 year old play with your keys. It took 45 minutes to find the keys, 2 weeks later I still have not found the remote.

It might, one of mine went through the wash one time, I don't think it went through the entire wash cycle though. lol

Hope you find it. I got a new one for $20 on ebay, the ignition key might cost your more then the remote.

Cost me $38.00 for a new key yesterday. But it is better than the old ladies Expedition. They are $85.00.

Re: Things to not do to a keyless remote

I was looking for replacement keyless entry remotes not too long ago and I found a site that had them for $29.99 for my Z28.

I had them delivered in less than a week and the programming instructions only took maybe 10 seconds?

Anyways, here's a link to the site:

Just click the Chevrolet category, or type CAMARO in their search box.
