Tach acting up!

Well, now that my i have nearly replaced my whole cooling system in less then a year and now my cats, airpump and knock sensors are going...i now have a f!cked up tach. It did this once before but it was about 3 months ago. My tach will all of a sudden stop working and this sucks if you own a m6 car and ever plan on raceing. It did it 3 time in a row on a 15 min trip on the HW. All of a sudden the tach needle just dropped like it is when the car is off. Then it kicked back on and fluttered then stopped again. Then a few minutes later it went on and it has since been on but for how long who knows.

Now my question is what could be lose thats causeing this needle to stop? Some type of cable? I am not familular with how instrument pannels work. Other then what they mean..lol..any help would be appreciated thanks.

Check and clean the engine bay grounds. The one near the ABS box on the nose and the one near the PCM in particular.

Could it be anything else? Everything looks good no corrosion or anything loose. I just detailed the engine bay so could that cause glitch? i dont see how but figured i would ask.

Re: Tach acting up!

My 93 had an inline filter in the wiring harness under the hood near the coil. I had tach problems until I removed it. My tach problems started when I added the MSD 6AL.
