T-5 Rebuild Kit?

My tranny has seen better days. The synchronizers are pretty much dead going into 1st through 3rd. Think I’m going to pick up a used one, rebuild it and swap it in pretty soon. I’d like to rebuild it to get the feel of a brand new one. But where can I find a good rebuild kit with all the necessary parts to get the job done. Are the ones from Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts any good? ’d also like to look into maybe a possibility of different/closer gears for better performance ratios. If anyone can lead me to some good companies that sell these parts it would be very helpful. Thanks.

Is there a reason in particular you want the T-5? I'd think you might wanna go with something stronger.

Uhhh.......... my cars makes 170 hp and 200 lbs/ft. I'm not worried about braking anything. My car came with the Borg and Warner T-5. The tranny is trashed, old and needs to be rebuilt.

I just need a decent rebuild kit that will last a few more years. I'm not too worried about performace.

Oh ok (didn't see the 3.4L after the Camaro in your sig) in that case both the autozone or advanced auto parts trannies should be just fine. I believe they get them through the same company (Recon I think)
