I've just put in an LT1-t56 swap in my camaro and my air is not working.
i dont know anything about a/c and im wondering if you guys can help me.
right now, i have air blowing through the vents but its hot air.
what should i check?

I feel your pain... I lived down there for 8 years... The bad news is that it is even hotter here in Central Florida...
Honestly, if you don't have all the tools (Gauges, code scanner, ect...) you're better off taking it to a shop and letting them check it out for you...
If you have all the tools, then start by checking the fuses and scanning the pcm to see if there are any codes that would prevent the compressor from engaging.
If you are too low on R134 then the pcm should throw a code and disengage the compressor clutch...
