Stuck turn signal!!! HELP

Hey guys, what can be done as to make my left turn signal flash again instead of just staying "stuck and illuminated" when I put on my left signal....

Right one works fine, tick tick, tick tick, tick tick, meanwhile: flash flash, flash flash....

Left one however is just, click, FLASHHHHH....it stays illuminated, so as you can see this is dangerous because all motorists are used to alternating singal flashes...

throw some ideas out guys!

It will do that if the bulb is burnt out. If the bulb isn't burnt out it is probably your blinker.

hmm i think i am getting myself a little confused....

when i am in the car, and i put the signal on, the light is indeed illuminated, but it stays on, no "blinking"....

i actually need to double check, but i think it is illuminated on the outside of the car, or are you saying that if the light is out on the outside of the car, then the inside one stays lit to let you know its out? or am i reading into that too much?

for even further clarification: when i am in the act of putting my right turn signal on, i can feel the signal kinda making that initial click sound, like it is engaging or something..then it goes on being happy and blinking like it should
the left signal, when i go to pull down the actual blinker arm, it doesnt seem to really engage, almost like it wants to maybe go down farther but it cant, or that it is simply missing whatever it needs to touch (i am not sure how these work)....

so now what do you think it might be guys?? thanks so much, i hate this problem with a passion...any idea on prices to get it fixed?

If the outside bulb is illuminated and the blinker stays lit, it is probably your flasher.

If the outside bulb is burnt out it will cause the indicator to stay lit when trying to signal that light.

It sounds like the outside bulb is illuminated so just do a search on this message board on how to replace the flasher, it's like a fuse. I wish I could tell you more on how to do it but I haven't had to change mine. I am sure it is something you could do on your own though.

When you say blinker, I'm guessing that you mean flasher. But yeah, it's probably a bad bulb.
