street / strip drag radial experience
I went to the track 2 weeks ago and made one run and could not get traction for 1/3 of the track. I decided to go home and order some slick. I decided on the Nitto nt555r 275/40/r17. I could not be happier so far. I went out today and made several attemps to break them loose and could barely even chirp them. My old tires would hook sometimes and would usually spin when I shifted into 2nd. Now they hook perfect every time and never slip on the hard shift. I ran my best 0-60 time so far so its time for some track time. I have them at 22 lbs and it seems good so far. If anyone has experience with these for my track runs feel free to let me know.

I have no track experience with them, but I can tell you they seem to be an excellent tire, my car had 3.73's and lca's with nittos never spun them once, however when it shifted into second I normally got a bark out of them. I love them
Just got a set, was about to make my first run with them but my clutch went bad during the burn out.
I can tell you this though. I did a burn out with them in a parking lot, then tried to make them spin, they would not. They grip like hell when you heat them up good.

Went to the track today and let out the air to 21lbs. Did a 4 second burn out and noticed the tires were starting to stick so I let off the gas. I got 2 runs in and it planted like I hoped it would. The car is smoother than before and drives great. I expected some gravel to be picked up and hit the wheel well but it was like me stock tires. My 1/4 mile times improved over a 1/2 second over my best times ever on both runs. Both 60ft times were exactly 2.00 now its time for some gears.
