the strangest ticking noise

A year ago I had a ticking noise from a cracked flexplate. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...2022/flex2.jpg there it was) Got that fixed, and noise went away for about two weeks. I never really bothered to listen for it anymore after that, so to say that was really the ticking i heard, hard to say. Then i started hearing a faint tick again, got under the car and check the converter bolts. One was loose. Still ticked. Checked the flexplate 3 times! I even unbolted the converter all the way and found 2 loose crank/flexplate bolts. Tightened them down, still ticks!! Flexplate is not cracked that I can see. I checked all the way around it, and short of taking it off, I saw nothing.

The tick sounds just like a lose bolt/cracked flexplate, but its not. What other ticks have people had, and fixed? So far i've checked...
-plugs
-header gasket
-converter/flexplate bolts
-exhaust
-cat
-injectors

I heard bent pushrods, or collapsed lifters can cause a ticking noise. The noise is only during idle, or decelleration from 30 to 10 mph. It doesn't change with RPM, and most the time goes away the instant RPM changes. It's not a constant noise, more comes and goes, and doesnt keep a pace with anything.
