To store on jackstands or not?

To store on jackstands or not?

I was wondering what is the method that you guys like, and if you chosse jack stands where do you place them? thanks alot its for the Z28 in my sig.

if I were gonna do this I would place mine either on the rear axle or the rear subframe, front ususally on the rocker's jacking point.

How long are you storing it for? Under what conditions (weather, exposure)? Does it have modern radial tires on it? (if it has bias-ply drag slicks, my answer will be different)

Its been sitting for about 2 years now I am unsure how long it will sit, I may take it out here and there but prob wont put to many miles on it Its inside..

My parents have an 89 Vette with 8000 miles on it. Never been stored on jack stands. I see no problem with leaving it on the ground. After a year or two, you'll notice the tires are a little lumpy when you first drive it. But after a few miles they'll be back to round again. After that, it's as if it was never stored.
