steering wheel shake
when i am driving at or above 60 mph, i feel a shaking in the steering wheel.
tires are new and suspension looks good. i work at a dealer and i have had a tech look over everything. everything seems ok
worn out bushings ?

Re: steering wheel shake
My first guess would have been tires that need to be balanced, but you said they are new. Maybe double check to make sure they are in fact balanced.
Only other thing that comes to mind is the driveshaft.

Re: steering wheel shake
wouldn't rotors be felt when applied ??
i know all to well about the 99-04 grand cherokees and their brakes, so i do not think it is brakes,
how would the driveshaft affect it ?? how can you check for problems ??

Re: steering wheel shake
sounds like an out of round tire. sometimes it's literally hard to get a f*ckin round tire these days. I've swapped out entire sets of tires before because of tires that simply are not round. a vibration that is at all speeds is almost a sure sign of this. if it's bad enough, you can feel it even at a snail's pace between red lights as a sublte up and down motion of the car.
it could be warped rotors only if the calipers are not releasing enough (in other words, warped rotors and sticking rotor(s) together.
also, as said a few times above, a tire being new has nothing to do with it being balanced. these days, a goofball attempting to balance it sometimes has nothing to do with it either
take it back to where you got the tires and be persistent until the problem is found.
worn out bushings won't cause a vibration, they'll only let another problem be more pronounced in some cases.

Re: steering wheel shake
Your rotors are probably warped.
My car did the same thing at high speeds and more so when I applied the brakes. Get your rotors machined AND your tires balanced and that should fix the problem.
