I buggered up the keyed section on the spline drive of my new 94 opti. The spline drive on my old opti looks fine and came out pretty easily. I want to swap the old one on, but the new one doesnt want to come out! Is there a trick to removing it?

Yes it should just pull out, and the other one will fit back in. There is a little notch on one end which only allows you to put it back in one way, so it lines up

 

I see you have an AC Delco, but on my new MSD the splined drive was made into the housing where it couldnt be removed.
