Speedo

Hey guys i am a Newbie to this forum So if i am out of line i am sorry.

I new a guy that had a switch in his car that would turn off his speedo and would not count any miles. But it will still have the tach. But he moved before i could find out..

Could someone tell me how to do it on my 00 SS.

you're about to get hit hard by so many people on this board with the phrase: "you do know this type of operation is illegal, dont ya?"

Very bad question to ask. You can bet that everyone is making note of your username and any other info they can, so that they don't buy a car from you. How would you like it if the next car you bought that was a "low mileage" car had that done to it? If you want to get people worked up about something, fraud is a good subject to do it.

Re: Speedo

Your admission of newbie-ness will probably get you some slack, but think about what you wrote..."I know this guy who does this criminal activity & I'd like to do it too" - uuhm, that would make you a criminal...most states take this type of fraud extremely seriously, to the point it aint even worth joking about doing it.
....but on a postive note, welcome to the board, you have an awesome car, go have fun with it & dont hesitate to tap this forum for info, there's many knowledgable & helpful guys on here.
cheers,
Ian

Re: Speedo

Sorry Guys.

Very good point I don't even want to do that to my car. I was just thinkin it would be cool to have low miles but I should just be honest.

Sorry to get anyone worked up. It will not happen again.

I hope people will still help out when needed..

Re: Speedo

no worries. I doubt anyone will even remember this post by tomorrow. BTW, the search function is a great place to start when you have questions, then if nothing seems to fit your topic there, post up & I can pretty much guarantee someone on here has been there before you. This board has helped me learn a lot about my car, I'm sure you'll find it just as helpful.
cheers,
Ian
