I just recently sold a cam on ebay. So the buyer recieves the cam and calls me and says it did not come with 1.5 Rockers which he assumed came with the cam because of the wording i used on ebay and now wants a partial refund,Is It my fault? Would you assume it came with rockers?

You are bidding on a Comp Cams CC 305 cam for a 1992 - 1997 LT1/LT4 engine. Cam specs are 220/230 .510 / .510 with 1.5 rockers. Also included are a set of Comp 985 Valvesprings, steel retainers, and locks. Cam and valvetrain is in excellent condition, I bought this cam from a member on ebay about 1 month ago and I decided not to install it due to lack of funds. you should have put "(with 1.5 rocker arms)" but it's not your fault. who would complain about 1.5 arms anyway? what a dumbass. u should just go get some off a 3rd gen at pick n pull for 5 bucks and mail them to him.

Show him the same wording on multiple cam dealer sites and tell him that that is industry standard to present the lift comp to a 1.5 because they don'e know what you may have. And that is the truth. He needs education. You owe him nothing except what he payed to receive. Besides, what has he got that a 1.5 is an upgrade?

Perhaps you could have been more clear, but the "with 1.5 rockers is in the sentence regarding cam specs, not "what you are bidding on". Not everyone knows what you or I know about how specs are worded and that the "1.5 rockers" was in relation to that. I would be sympathetic to the person, but it does not seem to be your fault.

I told him that I will buy stock 1.5 rockers and send it to him but He said there is a difference between "Comp 1.5 Rockers" and "stock 1.5 Rockers" and that he was expecting the Comp 1.5 Rockers.He wanted a $40 refund for the rockers.I sold the cam and Valvesprings, steel retainers, and locks for $180 shipped.

The wording seems correct..... Stating " You are bidding on the cam". Then you described the cam profile specs... Then, you state " Also included".... Nothing states 1.5 rockers included...

If he was wondering what was included, then he should have asked before buying.... Even if the rockers were included, it doesnt state " Comp Cam rockers"...

Its your chose on how to handle this....

Nowhere did you state you were including rockers, much less a set of Comp. rockers. He's just trying to get something for nothing. Tell him he should be happy since he got a pretty good deal anyway.

I think he just wants some money back for a cheaper deal that's all. Just tell him to send it back and you'll refund the money minus shipping (you can get the ebay fee back through ebay). You can always list it later and sell it for the same price, but I bet he'll want to keep it.

Since you are gonna get a neg feedback anyways, tell him to send it back to you, and don't refund him. Just make sure your credit card number or phone number isn't entered anywhere in ebay.
