so why get a stall?

i know how a stall works but i am a little confused as to what it helps. will it add horsepower? will it take time off the et? will my car feel faster? will it shift harder? I am thinking about a 3000 stall with all bolt ons when i get my LS1.

If your getting a stall for an LS1 I'd recommend something higher. I've herd 3600-3800 are just frickin' awesome in those cars. If it's for an LT1 I have a 3000 and just love it. The stall won't add any power to your car, it's not a hp mod. It's main objective is to get you into your car's powerband faster and keep you there the whole time, which in turn will make the car faster. Most people see a .4-.5 tenth drop in et with just the stall. It won't make your car shift harder, actually it makes it shift much softer. So a shift kit is generally something that goes hand in hand with it. A very very great mod for any auto car. A lot of people think it's one of the best. Good luck.
