snapped bolt...
snapped bolt...
what ideas are out there... snapped an intake manifold bolt on a 3.8L
its nearly flush with the block. Generally I am a lucky *******, and I pull the part and can get the rest of the bolt out with vice grips?
reverse drill bit?
buy a new motor and say **** my cursed piece of **** 3.8L?

There are several options. Soak the bolt with a penetrant, then using a pointed punch or chisel held at an angle. Hit the bolt in a counterclockwise direction. If there is enough material sticking out, cut a slot into the bolt and use a straight slot screwdriver to back it out. Or use an EZ-Out. Good luck.
You can get tools/extractors for removing broken bolts, if I were you I'd pony up and get one or a small set
I've broken more than a few bolts off in various pieces of equipment myself

BTW the bolt is under the cowl, so its really hard to get to.
