SLP question

Hey dudes, I just order my SLP LM for my 95 Z yesterday

My question is how hard is it to install, i have no money right now since i spent it all on my exhaust, but i do have a good amount of tools,

I bought the Single Cat Install kit for it to

I have some minor experience working on cars but not a GURU at it

How long did it take you guys, what did you need, should i just save some cash and let a muffler place do it for me

Thanks

Re: SLP question

The only thing that will slow you down is taking the old system out cause of old bolts, also you will need to cut the pipe around the axle area so the old exhaust system will come out. The new system will be easy, you will use the same hanger areas and slip fit the pipe together and just use the clamps that come with the kit. It should take no more the 2 hours, also jack the car up on all four area nice and high so you can do the work comfortable on your back. For me I wasnt to crazy with the clamps so I took it to a shop and just had then weld the fittings.

Re: SLP question

It's a breeze to put in. Shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours if you're farmilar with your car.

Re: SLP question

takes about 20 min* -
*if ur lucky and bolts arent bad -- else as long as it takes to remove abotu 6 bolts

1) cut stock exhuast at axle bend with saws all -
2) unbolt near cats- (use PB Blaster or somethign like)
3) unbolt the 2 supports near rear
4) remove pipes
5)bolt new bracket on driver side
6)put new pipes in reverse order

done
drive around obnoxiously pissing off neighbors

Re: SLP question

I recomend a dremel w/ cutoff wheels and a sawzall. That'll make quick work of the old system.
