sloppy steering wheel

I have a 99 T/A and the steering wheel wobbles. I know on the third gen camaros that you have to remove the steering wheel and the blinker assembly and then tighten the three torx screws to fix the problem. Is it the same on the 4th gens? I removed the air bag assy. and there is a whole lot more going on inside this wheel. Should I let a shop do it or am I making it harder than it really is.

I believe GM hasn't changed much in how the steering wheels attach on their cars in a long time. I bet the setup is similar/same. Shouldn't be too hard as long as you keep track of where everything came off.

I kind of figured that. I was mainly concerned about the airbag coil that sits behind the steering wheel. Also, a buddy of mine has a 4th gen column that is torn apart and I couldn't see anything that looks like the assembly on a 3rd gen. I really don't want to tear it apart without knowing what to look for.

you mean the steering wheel is loose like it would pull off or is the steering sloppy?

I had that problem in an old car of mine. Like you said above, I just tore into the column and tightened the torx screws.
