Skip Shift Eleminator

Hi i have a question! I am wanting to buy a skip shift eleminator but i was reading on jegs and it says Eliminate that pesky skip shift from your GM 6-speed. It is quick and easy with Hurst's Skip Shift Kit. The kit fits 1992-2002 Camaro/Firebird and 1992-97 Corvette. Now i have a Automatic and its got 123and overdrive so is that ok or should i not buy it! Also whats the difference with Hurst and Jet? Hurst is more like 36$ and the Jet 29$ is one better than the other anyway i would appreacite your help thankyou again

I was under the impression skip shift was only on the manuals. It was a solenoid that forced you to shift into 3rd or was it 4th, either way it made you skip a shift.

Skip shift forces the driver from 1st to 4th on a manual, I don't know the anything else, just wait for a manual guy to chime in...

You don't need it, it's not for automatics. They are a ripoff for manual transmissions anyhow.

Yeah it energizes a solenoid at a certain rpm/throttle range that blocks out 2nd gear on manuals

uhh... do autos even have the skip shift feature ? I drive an m6 and its annoying as hell, you get locked out of 2nd and 3rd and are forced from 1st to 4th. very pesky.

this is not for an auto car ( do they even have skip shift)?

No, its not like there would be a solenoid that would keep the autotrans from shifting itself into 2nd

no such thing as a skip shift for an automatic, only 6 speed manual transmissions
