My buddy just bought this stang and would really like to beat it but i dunno. I rode in it and it FEELs good but you never know. I dont know alot about stangs but it is a 87 lx 5 speed 4:10 good clutch trick flow heads and upper and lower intake, B cam, headers, true duals, he is running draglites with slicks and when i run him i will have slicks also. Who do you think will win?? My mods in the sig.

 

Go out there and beat that stangs ***!!. My brother has a hooked up 89 LX 4 cylinder converted into a '90 5.0 with all the goodies and its pretty fast, untill i pull up next to him

 

you've got a cam too...and are starting with more hp anyway..

assuming traction (which slicks should) you'll waste him

 

if its your buddy just race him, doesn't have to be any pressure. but you and i know the Z's got this one for some reassurance

 

Those 5.0s are dogs. I dont know what it is about them, maybe them being so small, but even stock they feel pretty quick. My stepbrother used to have a modified '87 M5, felt fast until I got my Z.

 

The stang should run pretty good if it has heads/cam and intake on it. I think you will be suprised with it.

BUT...

I read your sig and I missed the 306 at first and I was thinking you would loose by a little, but then I saw "306" so I think you'll be fine.
It should be a good race, remember his rear is strong enough to dump the clutch with slicks so he will probly jummp out the hole if he can drive it.

You mean to tell me his h/c/i 5.0 only makes high 200's!!??? That is sad. I mean i would think my car with just a cam should make 340 to 350 hp at the wheels? Good i would really like to beat him everyone is talking about us racing. I cant wait to beat his "race car"

 

My stepbrother had full exhaust, some suspension stuff, CAI, and some iginition stuff and was like 240rwhp/300ft tq.. I wouldn't doubt only high 200s from a cam.

 

Quit BS'in and go wax that azz. He will prob. hang in there until about half way through his 2nd gear.

 

No kidding, Where i come from you dont have to ask people if you should race someone. You cant win em all even though it sounds like you will win this one. And besides if its just one of your buddies. Go show him some Chevy Muscle.

 

Well the reason that i havent raced him is because he has to get emmissons, plates, and all that stuff done before he can drive it on the street. And he was talking the car up alot and i didnt want to run my mouth and be wrong and get my *** handed to me. The funny part is that he sold is 93 z28 with full bolt ons for this car
