Should I part it out?

Should I part it out?
Ok I started a thread about a 94 green z28 M6 that is for sale down the street. I have the guy talked down to $1900 for the car because it does not run.
It sounds as though the fuel pump is dead. It fired up briefly but only for a second. It seems to fire after it sits for about a week but once it pops once, its dead in the water again.
Long story short this car is a stock 94 but it has some edelbrock stainless headers, and an aftermarket morosso air intake. The car has the cloth interior which is in excellent shape and t-tops. All of the interior panels and console are in excellent shape. The body of the car is very clean and the engine/trans have 121K miles on them.
Should I fix the car, or should I just part it out? Tell me in my poll!
Those of you that have parted out z28's, about how much did you get??
Thanks

I'd keep it and use it has a DD depending on what the actual problem is. If its a fuel pump and nothing more. Then I'd keep it. By the way. a stock 121k mile Z28 in running condition is prob only worth about ~3k anyways so I dont think its all that great of deal IMO.

How about fix the fuel pump/filter first and re-sell it for a profit? Are you sure the engine and tranny are still good? It fires up, but how does it run/shift?
If just the fuel pump, either you're getting an awesome deal from someone who doesn't want to fix it, or you're getting an average price for a rolling chassis.
If you have the time, I'd say fix the fuel issue first and see how it runs.

Yep I think the plan for now is to get it at the best price I can, fix it (or attempt to) and then sell it. If I can't fix it, I'm gonna tear it apart and get some satisfaction out of it!

Wow..that's a clean 94. Must been garaged or something. Even the cloth seats look good for a 13 year old car. If you get that for $1900, that's a steal...even it were a rolling chassis.
Better hope the seller isn't on this board!
