Should I convert to single cat.

I have a 1995 z28 with dual cat should I switch to single cat? I wonder if it is cheaper easier to get parts for single cat cars. Also looking at SLP headers for dual cat cars they are weird looking...restrictive?? Should I do it?

Re: Should I convert to single cat.

You could have an issue at smog time and fail the visual inspection but it's unlikely as most '95s came with a single cat. I've read on this board that the single cat SLP headers flow better than the dual cat setup and you eliminate the extra heat under the hood by eliminated the driver's side cat. My friend went this route here in CA and it's a much cleaner setup and passed smog no problem.
