Shock sensor for factory alarm location?

Question Shock sensor for factory alarm location?

my alarm keeps going off all the time, so now i cant lock my doors, got a hint to see if its the shock sensor, but i need to know how to find it! Plus that info and anyway i can just disconnect the whole alarm even would be great.

The shock sensor is in the right rear compartment with the spare tire and jack. If you have your owner's manual it tells you how to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor. You can probably figuer it out without directions by trial and error.

Stupid question, does my 1995 Z@* have a factory alarm system, or was it an option. It has the VATS but I have never been aware of a factory alarm.

I THINK it wasn't an option until '96, but not positive. The factory alarm should have a red LED to the right and aft of the center defrost vent.
