SES light - P0107
SES light - P0107
My buddy has the P0107 code in his 2000 Firehawk... I know what it is, but does that mean the MAP is bad or could it be a vacuum leak? Intake gaskets shot?
Did a search and came up with only 1 thread.
Thanks folks

Re: SES light - P0107
Per GM online code guide....
P0107 = MAP sensor circuit low voltage. The MAP reading is less than 0.24V, which indicates a continuous short to low, or open in either the signal circuit or the MAP sensor.
0.24V would correspond to a vacuum reading of about 28"Hg, which is impossible for an engine to develop (welllll.... maybe is you slammed the throttle blades closed at 6,000rpm it might pull that much vacuum - briefly. And that wouldn't set the code, because it can only set when the throttle is more than 15% open). It has nothing to do with a vacuum leak, which would increase the MAP value and show a low manifold vacuum.
