Yup so this morning as I'm driving to work, my car studders for about 2 seconds while I'm driving maybe 5 mph on the fwy and it seemed as if the engine was gonna shutoff, so I quickly rev the engine 2 seconds later teh SES light came on, what could it be....???
Any how I guess I need to find out what codes is throwing right? I was thinking about buying one of those "scanmaster" I think is call, any idea of the price & how complicated it is to use ???

thanks again.

I like my Scanmaster; they sell for $229 - $249 (do a Google Search). Easy to install too.

Al right, this looks like a great doc full of usable info,
thanks for looking out !!
I just hope the car doesn't die on me on the way back home....
that wouldn't be kool...

I just rebuild the engine less than a month ago when I blew the motor.
I got a new block, well it wasn't new blcok per-say, but I got a good deal for it, so I bought the cam while at it, full engine gasket kit, and a high volume oil pump, which by the way what should be the proper reading on a HV oil pump, on the gauge I mean??>
I remembered the guy at the shop mentioned I should change the oil pressure sensor/switch, but couldn't really doit at that time.
would this cause the SES light to activate????

A misfire ?? well now that I remembered the last time I did the tune up on the car which was about 2 or so months ago, (a month before I blew the engine)
Which was also my fist time doing a tune up on the LT1 (and we all know how easy is to change the plugs) yup I started Saturday around 3:00 pm and was done around 10:00 pm on "Sunday"!!
My point is that when I installed the plugs and wires for the driver side, I realized after the fact that is that I did not gaped the plugs... (it was only my first time so cut me some slack) would this have anything to do you think ???
