Seized chevy 327

Hi first time post. Im trying to turn over a 1967 camaro this will be the first time in 20 years can you give me some tips or how to do this with out wrecking the engine. Thanks

It is seized or your just worried it might be?

Spray some wd-40 into the spark plug holes before you start it. Also pull out the distributor and use a priming tool (can be found at most general parts stores or speed shops) to build some oil pressure.

Otherwise make sure that the cooling system is in good shape, and also check the accessories to be sure they spin freely.

If it is indeed seized, you can try to break it free by using a breaker bar on the crank bolt.

I would first get a new battery, then remove all the spark plugs and put lots of WD40 in each cylinder. Then, use a breaker bar to rotate the engine by hand a bit. Once you have it turning freely, put in new oil and spark plugs, remove the distributor and prime it. Replace the distributor and try to start it. You might want to prime it with a little fuel, and make sure the float bowls are full.
