A two part question....First, in my situation why does the security light come on while driving then turn off after about ten minutes? Is the problem correcting itself? It will only do this about twice a year.

Second, I have an auto-start system that basically by-passes the VATS, so it can start the car without my key in the ignition. So, why in "some" cases when I try to start my car with the autostart syatem the system will try three times to start the car with no success? Shouldn't the VATS be bypassesed everytime I use the autostart?

FYI, I replaced my keylock two years ago when I first had problems with the security light coming on. I thought I had fixed the problem, but after six months of no problems the dreaded light-on no start problem came back.

What can I do???
