The drivers side seat bolsters are showing wear on my 99 Z. The passenger seat is perfect. Got me to thinking; I was able to swap passenger/driver seat cushions in my C4 Corvettes and was wondering if the passenger/drivers seat cushions on my Z were interchangeable. If so, I could potentially find a salvage passenger seat and swap the cushions into my drivers seat. I would prefer doing this in lieu of buying a complete set of covers which may not match the original color or texture.

Can anyone shed light, that is have done this themselves? The look the same, but knowing positively it can be done would be super before I search for and buy a used seat.

 

This is an old topic and could be addressed in appearance, but yes they can be swapped between the two. I did this on my car, and the only thing that i had to do is cut away a little material where the seat belt screws go into the seat.
