Save the Injured Camaros of America!!!

Just thought I would show you guys some before and after pics of my Z. I was at the Local junk yard and I saw them tow this bad boy in, and i was like What the heck yall are gonna chop her up! Long story short after some begging to the Manager I bought the car from them with 99k miles on it for 3000.00, After 280.00 of parts, some long hours with the come along and the paint gun I finally got her fixed up, Inspected and rehabiltated. Now I can saftley say she is relased and back in the WILD!!!

---Not bad for 20 yr old! Ps.. this is my third Z28 i have done this to. It feels good to take a car that was gonna be destroyed and get them back on the road.

I thought that was My Classic Car. And yes, way to go on the resto. I wish I had the money to buy and fix up the Camaros that I see destined for the scrap heap...

That is some very nice work you did there. How long did the project take you? 3k for the car and a 280.00 investment on top of that is not bad at all.

It took about three weeks, on and off between work and school. My Grandpa helps me with pulling out the Body , and i picked up painting + Bondo working a summer at the locall body shop. yep 250-- used bumber core/Paint supplies, and Hatch lock. Yea fixing up a car like that is the way to go if you dont mind driving with a salvage Title, AT 3250.00 DOLLARS FOR A 1999 i SURE DONT MIND. Normally dont have to worry about frame Damage, they usually give those certicate of destructions.

Three weeks off and on is not bad at all, I would expect a project like that to take longer. You did pretty good though, an LS1 car for a shade over 3 thousand dollars. I guessing you will be putting some new wheels on there as well?

Thanks Again guys!! Yea Im actually in the process of tracking down some of those Black SS Style rims that have that fake chrome beedlocks around them. like the ones on the Z in Januarys Chevy high performance.

Theres Mainly two types of titles Salvage---And Certificate of Destruction

Salvage can be rebuilt and inspected by The State DOT. Once Inspected title is Branded Rebuilt. Drops resale value, I take pics showing the damage isnt severe and people usually dont care cause most 5 yr or older used cars are bondoed up or repainted any ways.

Certificate of destruction means they preety much destroy the title and car cannot be insured taged or titled in the USA

All of this in Alabama

Nice Work. I saved my car. In April of last year it was "totaled" when some lady hit it, well I bought it back and fixed it and it now has a salvage title but that doesnt bother me because I am never gonna sell it, since it has been in the family since day 1 of its life. There are before and after pics on my cardomain

I thought by 99 the mirrors and the piece over the top were body color?? Between that and the wheels I thought you put a LS1 clip on a LT1 car until I looked at you sig.

Supprised the salvaged it for that little damage.
