The same things are always broken on our cars

I have been suprised over and over again on how many parts of these Camaros are always broken on almost every car eventually. I have found these and if you have one to add that would be great. These almost all have to be called defects. The rear bolt on the exhaust manifold breaking off in the head. Map sensor connector becoming brittle. battery tray lip breaks off and last but not least the opti. I am looking for other things that could be broken on my car that i could find now and fix. I have looked on this site for awhile and im always suprised about a new problem thats been around forever.

Those little plastic triangles on the back side of the mirrors are always broken. I have one good one out of four between my two Camaros.

Most are just wear and tear. Any car is going to have specific things that are first to go out and there may be some things that don't last as long as you might expect. That's just the nature of machinery and profit vs. quality.

You could go to any garage and ask about a particular car and a good mechanic could probably tell you dozens of repeated problems for it. That's one way they make quick money.

Squeeking or loose LCA's - does that count?

Hmm - ash tray lid, didn't know that was common- got that one too. I guess that is a dealer item only. Anyone know what it costs?

I missed one of the most biggest issues being the heater core being obstructed. Maybe some of these happen with wear and age but some are just poor design and material. Thanks god parts for our cars are still pretty cheap in most cases.

Anyone else got a squeeky rear end going over speed bumps? Oh, and the ICM overheating. But that's more a location design flaw .

good lord people its called wear and tear we have cars that are getting up there in age the newest lt1 f-body is 11 years old, most people dont even keep cars that long

and you **** and moan about the opti which is annoying because, yes its expensive, no its not as easy to change as a conventional sbc but good lord some of you people bitch about needing a cap and rotor after well over 100,000 miles. they dont last forever people, neither do water pumps which is usually the cause for frying the opti. and for real the opti isn't hard to change

and our cars are not luxury cars, they were cost effective v8 cars for people that couldn't afford a vette, some of the materials weren't of the highest quality they could have been to keep cost down, get over it and accept it

Sorry to hear that. I think the lt1's kick *** and i am sure i overrate them. I would go buy on tomorrow if something happened to mine so they are an A+ in my book. I put this here so i can find and others see what are the commons problems so they can be aware of them now or need to use the info the future. I would have never done anything about the clogged heater core or the broken battery tray had i not seen them on here.
