Roof paint

I need to get my roof painted (not t top) its fading and the hoop that goes over right above the hatch the clear is flaking. I hate how crappy it looks I was wondering if there is any special process this needs to be painted I mean its just fiberglass but i want to know all i can to make sure it turns out good.

Re: Roof paint

Nothing special, it doesn't move much there so cracking isn't much of a problem. Just make sure you get most of the old stuff off.

Re: Roof paint

I used to work in a body shop at a Chevy dealership, and I still paint cars on the side. All the new base/clear paint systems are pretty forgiving, it's really not very complicated.
