Roll cage/bar Questions for 95z28

I have a 95 z28 that I use for the Street, Strip, and Show.. I am thinking about installing a 6 or 8 point cage from jegs or summit... I like how the bars go up by the doors with the 8 point and if I have to remove the carpet I might as well go all the way since I am doing this mainly for show reasons and the car is not my daily driver.. How hard is it to install and is their any web sites or people who have instructions on how to do this.. I will be painting it with color matched paint and will be either putting it in my self or paying a guy of mine 2-3 hundred to do it for me if I remove the carpet.. thanks, for any info....Beau

Oh yeah how much would an install like this normally cost and is their any place in southern WI or northern IL that would do this.. thanks,

typically around here it's $75-100 per point of the cage being welded up with the interior and carpet already pulled out. So if you can get someone to do it for $300 that's a steal. Also, go buy a NHRA rule book to figure out where the bars go to be legal. I have a 6 point in mine that will be a 8 point when i install the jegs torque arm that mounts to the driveshaft floor. I have pics on my cardomain site, which is the same user name i'm using now if you want to search for it.

If you dont need an 8 point, I'd say get a Wolfe cage. You pay more, but they are built specifically to fit the fbody. Those cheaper kits have a lot of fab work to be done and fitment.

The Wolfe 6 point works well, I am getting a bolt in for my car so I can run the track.
