Replacement HeadLiner

The head liner in my 4th gen started falling down , and I think the only way to fix it right is to replace it. Does anyone know of a place that sells a replacement? Can I buy a molded, made to fit replacement? Or do I have to peel off the old one and glue down some new material?

Thanks!

well i know that gluing it wont work cause the firewall/foam above it will most likely peel and the headliner will have nothing to grab to...thats my problem at least

How does the head liner remove? Is it an easy install?

Just take it to a Auto reupholstery shop and get it done by the a Pros. By the time you order a headliner board, remove the old one, break a lot of clips, the cost of materials & time and the price of beer. The cost will be the same and you will have the Factory stock look for about the same price by letting the upholstery shop handle it. Went that route and let the DIY people do it their way.

Re: Replacement HeadLiner

well to remove the headliner (4th Gen): I just took off the the visors, then the upper trim around the door, the dome light, and the clothes hanger hooks. Then the plastic rectangles around the seat belts snaps out (straight down). There were also a couple of those christmas tree clips behind the dome light, those took some pliers to pull out. And that was pretty much it, the rest of it was held up by velcro type stuff...

I think I am going to try to peal off all of the old liner and put down a new one. GM parts direct shows 150 (after shipping). The roll of material and adhesive is around 30 bucks, and it seems like something I can handle...

I paid $150 at Upholstery shop and just waited two hours for someone else to the job.
