Replace the rear section of my Flowmaster?

I believe at some point it is all clamped on, can I reapace it with something else? I may have to get hangers welded to the muffler I guess unless I can buy a rear section somewhere that will clamp to the main pipe with hangers welded for LT1 stock positions and save me some money. Kinda sick of my flowmaster and want to replace the muffler and tailpipe cheaply. Any ideas? Thanks for any help, and if anyone DOES give me something I can get in I will hook you up with a nice way to get movies as soon as they come out (if that is your cup of tea )

it should be clamped at the muffer inlet. you may have problems breaking the pipes free since clamps and corrosion can make it almost impossible to separate tubes, sometime a torch is needed to heat the pipe up.

hm..sick of the flowmaster....hmm

people say the hooker muffler sounds really good and is well priced. i know i loved the sound of my magnaflow on my lt1. the MF can get a little raspy up top if you have no cats, but otherwise it's a reall sweet sound.

unless you wanted to change tips, you can probably use the tail pipes from the Flowmaster, or if nothing else cut the tips off and use the 90* bends with hangers already installed.
i say stop buy your local muffler shop and see what they say.

If possible I would like to just replace the muffler, guess I just need to figure out the dimensions, get one to match.
Take the new one to the shop with the old one and have the hangers welded exactly the same, yeah thats the ticket

Now just to find the dimensions of my force2 muffler, off to flowmaster.com I guess

EDIT: The muffler is offset both intake and exhaust, found hooker mufflers for 60 bucks on summit, as well as Flowtech for $40.......and the summit brand for $20 ehhehe LOL

Also there are no hangers on the muffler, should be able to just heat it up, take off the old and on with the new
