Is the repair cost more expensive now that camaros are discontinued?
I haven't been on this board for while now but had a question about LS1 camaros. Since the camaro stopped production is the repair cost structural or mechanical higher than before and what would the costs' compare to mustang repairs.

There is no reason why prices on labor should go up just because a car is discontinued. It's not like a car gets harder to work on just because it's no longer in production.

Alright thanks. Yeah I'm talking about the cost of parts. The only reason I'm wondering is because I have a chance to buy a 02 black Z28 and sell my 02 Mustang GT. I always running kind of low on money so I figured I would need a car to get around the same price with insurance, repairs, etc. I'm just trying to figure out if this a stupid idea or not. I already have 2 years paid of on the mustang but whatever, it might be worth it.
everytime i compare prices to ford it seems like they are cheaper when it comes to there aftermarket world but then again fords just dont have as much throttle loving power as chevy's(or ls1's).i had a mustang once and the parts were very cheap campared to what i have now but in the end im way happier the way the ls1's respond with just a couple modifications they have way better power all around excluding those dam new cobras.Long live the LS!

Yeah I think I"ll be happier with the Z28 also. Thats the car I wanted in the first place but I was stupid and didn't buy it. A lot of people tell me oh dont get a camaro, they don't last very long, yada yada yada and I don't think anything that comes out of their mouth is backed up by any real experience. If I am able to change cars I'd be way happier, lets hope I just dont get a lemon or anything though.

I've only driven a couple LS-1's before and they do pull harder than my mustang. I believe mustang's are a good sports cars for the money and can pull off some good times but chevy made some impressive power is these camaros IMO.
