removing the cone from 2otl

i think i may be bored tomorrow...i want to take the cone out of my exhaust, but i understand it's very hard to take the the muffler off w/o heating the pipe...should i just go to a muffler shop to have it done?...what could i expect to pay for that? 20-30 bucks?

It's easiest to just cut the pipe and reweld. I, would take it to a shop. Should be about 1/2hr. job.

I was lucky and didn't have it, early build number. But I believe it is welded in. I don't think you'll want to put it back.
