compressor is the heaviest component weighing in at a wopping 15 lbs or so, the rest is aluminum lines, evap & condensor which maybe total around 5 lbs all together. If you have a drag only strip car, sure why not, otherwise keep your ac bro.

It would make changing passenger side plugs a little easier, cleaner engine bay and probably 35 lbs of weight reduction.

I live in the middle east and I barelly use mine. The only time it may come on is if a female begs for it. I should just remove it. Car runs like crap with it on anyways though I know it shouldnt.

I took out the following:
A/C compressor
A/C lines
A/C condensor
AIR system

and dropped ~50 lbs off the front of the car. I weighed everything I took off.

It would help with weight transfer to the rear if anything.

Re: Removing A/C help on weight deduction or no??

Some will tell you it is easy to do. I suppose if u have all the tools, etc, it would not be too bad. It took me almost 7 hours (maybe I am just slow and didn't use a lift), primarily due to bolt access on the rear of the compressor, and the need to soak the bolts, especially the last one w/ MasterBlaster. But i consider it worth the effort as there is significant weight reduction and it cleans up the engine bay, both of which i wanted to accomplish.
BTW, the plugs that are used to block the emission tubes on headers are the same size plugs for the a/c outlet/inlet holes in the unit on the firewall, passenger side.
Hope this helps!
