Remote entry problems

Ever since the winter my remote entry has been fuggered (95 formula). Sometimes it won't work (all functions, lock, unlock, pop hood). Doesn't matter how close I am to the car, how long I hold the button down for, how many times I press it, it just doesn't work. Other times it works like a charm. I've replaced the battery in the little remote, but that didn't fix it.

Any ideas?

Re: Remote entry problems

Try a search for "remote entry". Should be quite a few threads about cleaning the contacts on the inside of your remotes. You can clean the contacts on the small board inside as well on the bottoms that push up against these contacts.

Re: Remote entry problems

thanks guys! I used an eraser on the contacts and the remote is much better. Before I use to have to press pretty hard, now it's only a normal press.
