recomendation on buying engine
anybody have any recommendations on buying a new or replacement engine in the Florida area... really just looking for the block as I have good cylinder heads but I now most places just sell full engines
have heard of ta creations in Miami
http://www.tacreationsusa.com/
and Jasper online
http://www.jasperengines.com/
but those are either used or refurbed which I would do if I knew the place and could trust there work.. or anybody know of a place, other than GM, to buy a new engine for an fbird
p.s. I looking for either a 3.8 or 5.7 ( $$ depending) to put in a 97
thanks for looking

in the florida area I don't know sorry but I do believe there are sponsors on here that could help you out off the top of my head I know texas-speed sells engines. as well as ls1speed although they are not a sponsor on here. I don't know if you've already looked at the two above but just my .02

If I could have found a GM LT 1, I would have used it. I went
with an upgraded LT 1 from Jasper. It was not cheap, 'cause
I replaced a bunch of other stuff too, but 3 months into
it I can jump in, hit the key, and jam.
Should be in the high 12's too.

thanks all for the recommendations I been able to figure out the price range now and whatnot.
Also, just out of curiosity I stopped in the local GM dealership yesterday and the guy quoted just over 3K for the 3.8 and a couple thousand more for the 5.7. Then the guy actually said it is best to go with a refurb “as they’ll actually put good parts in there”
That one caught me by surprise
