Rear end cover

Sorry for the "dumb" question but I bought a MAC rear end cover and since it's used didn't bring no instructions...

How much do I torque the two allen bolts that support the caps??

I assume you bolt and torque the cover's 10 bolts and then tighten the "cap bolts" and finally lock them with the nuts.

Anyone that's installed one before care to shoot me some info?? Much appreciated!!

Laterzzz...

Re: Rear end cover

The instructions that came with my TA Performance cover says to torque the cover bolts to 25 ft-lb, then tighten the preload studs with your hand until they make contact. Then tighten them NO MORE than 5 ft-lbs. Then use the nuts to lock them in place. Any overtightening of the preload studs will warp the bearing caps.

Re: Rear end cover

If you haven't installed it yet you might want to wrap a little teflon tape around the drain plug. Mine leaks a bit.
