Rear boot

Rear boot

Question I got a 1995 Z28 recently and when I bought it the previous owner said that the Rear Boot is dragging. I havent driven the car since the day I bought it home. However it does make a grinding noise in the rear does anyone know what else can verify I just want some info be4 I take it to the mechanic.

Boot for the rear is an "English" term for trunk..... Might be the differential... Limited slip going out....

I remember with my IROC if I was to hit the gas hard from a stop i would hear a thud sound from the back would that be the same thing as well ?

That might be tranny mount, u-joint, or slack in the diff......
