I have(had)the factory Delco cd player.It shows only lines where the clock used to display,and there is no sound,and the cd player doesnt play.Basically all of a sudden nothing works. Ive checked all the fuses(I think)and they are all ok.Is it shot,or is there something else I can look for before I go out and buy a new one.

i'm thinking that maybe you unhooked your battery and the CD player lost power.
right?

okay,I think I'm getting somewhere.I looked in my owners manual and it talks about resetting the theft code.I guess for some reason the radio lost power,and its in antitheft mode,I have to reenter the 6 digit code to make it operable again,the only problem is,I have no idea what some previous owner entered the code as so it looks like I'll have to take it to the dealer to have them reset it,if that doesnt work,I'm back to square one.
