Racetronix....

Anyone else having problems with Racetronix customer service?

I installed a Racetronix 255lph pump in my car a few weeks ago. Either the check valve is bad, or according to them, it's not seated properly. My car barely starts after sitting for awhile, and this is my daily driver.

They said they would send me a new plastic flex tube and instruct me how to clean the check valve area on October 17th. I replied immediately, and no response. I sent them another e-mail a few days later, still no response. Sent another e-mail a few days ago, and still nothing. This is getting pretty annoying...

So, is it just my ****ty luck, or is this a common thing?

I hate posting problems and bitching about stuff publicly, but I'm getting tired of waiting. I bought the pump brand new, followed their installation instructions, and I don't deserve to be stuck with this crap.

Re: Racetronix....

Yeah, I called them up all in a wad cause the pump that was "especially made to fit in the stock bucket" wanted to only go in crooked, and there was NO instructions with the pump OR the wiring harness, and they seemed hard to get ahold of. Most of the kit parts were quality, but otherwise a pretty amateurish operation all around, if you ask me. It's not too much to ask for instructions, IMHO. In the end, I got everything in OK, just took a lot longer than it should have.

I had no problems with the install or customer service. The only thing I had to do to the "housing" was use a gas-proof sealant to close the lid on it. Runs beautifully, especially with the voltage booster kit that you can get with it...

Re: Racetronix....

This is a new kit / customer solution which is being made right now to address a recurring problem with Walbro's checkvalve design. Your patience is appreciated.

Although pressure loss can cause longer crank to run times it will not disable the vehicle or impact its performance.

When the kit is ready an e-mail will be sent. Please send all inquiries to support@racetronix.com.

Please note that Walbro does not provide warranty on their pumps. This solution is solely Racetronix' undertaking to help its customers.

Thanks for the reply...

I know my car runs good, it's just annoying and embarrasing when it has to crank 20 times to start.

Anyways, should I send an e-mail or did you guys get my e-mails?
