I got a set of Halos and I'd like to splice them into the parking lights. there is a blue wire, black wire and a brown wire running into the top bulb. can someone tell me which is the hot and which is the ground? I dont want to strip the insulation to get a reading....

Black wires are ground. I don't know if there is a difference for LS1 fbodies, but in my 94 I spliced into the brown wire for my parking light flash for my alarm. Could always put a slit into the insulation so the wires can be touched, then put a multimeter to it and make sure.

 

so i tried using those wires... nothing.... any clues or tips?
