Quick question about intake
I have a friend that insists that CAI on stock motors/tuning will actually lower performance and run more rich
I can not see how that can be true because wouldn't the MAF detect the extra incoming air and adjust the a/f ratio???

your friend is WRONG....trade him in for someone more intelligent.
easier air in equals more efficient motor...which is more power
cooler air in means a denser air charge, which means more o2 available to burn...which means more power.
the maf will adjust for the change
for the first few minutes its possible that the performance will be minimal, but once the computer learns the new settings and adjusts for it...you'll make more power.
decades of hotrodding can't be wrong
