Pypes Mini Cats

I am looking at putting some cats onto my car and have my eye on the Pypes 3" mini cats. I know that some people on here are using them and was just wondering about the quality of the cats? Any issues with clogging up? Any info on how much they effect power? And most importantly (the reason I am getting the cats) do they get rid of that damn smell? I am getting kind of tired of that. Thanks.

Edit: I have also been looking at the Car Sound cats too since they are supposed to be 4" tall as well. Any suggestions on which to go with?

Re: Pypes Mini Cats

I'd go with Car Sound - I know a lot of people who have had success with those....but never heard of Pypes, so I can't give a reason why to choose one over the other.

Which costs more?

Re: Pypes Mini Cats

The Pypes mini-cats cost about the same as a Carsound cat. Only difference is I didn't see a mini-cat in the Carsound lineup and I needed the smallest cat possible to wedge into my off-road y-pipe. I bought a pair of them and the initial quality out of the box is very good. They are stainless steel and the welds are very good quality. After having them on for almost a year, they are still holding up very well and haven't caused any issues. Also, they did a good job of getting rid of that odor that comes along with running a catless off-road y-pipe.

Well, I guess I might try the Pypes unless anybody has anything else to say.
