I'll be pulling my motor and tranny out the top this week. Any tips on how to get them both out the top?

I usually just pull the motor out the top and disconnect the tranny and leave it under the car.

The hardest part for me to pull from the top was the tranny bolts. I almost broke my arm trying to break them loose.(Factory Tight) I also pulled a muscle that took me away from the car for 4 days.

Total time for pulling from the top, 8 days ( I am a very good weekend mechanic )
Total time to install 1 day

Dropping the K has to be easier.

 

it is so much easier out the bottom its no joke heres a little vid taking the whole drivetrain out the bottom in 2 hours. sped up to 12 minute video.

 

out the bottom is the way to go, it takes me and a buddy under two hours with a hoist and air tools to remove them both

 

i had done engines out of the top on these cars like 5 or 6 times, then when i eventually went for the bottom i couldnt believe how easy it was, me and my girlfriend put the engine back in last week and she can only use 1 hand
