Re: power seats

good question i am considering the same thing for my z...but i was going to buy leather t/a seats for the lumbar supports. in my looking at it i think the bolts on the car are slightly off from drives to pass side. i am going to use the power seat track from my current seats and transplant it to the seats i buy. a little frabracation work might be in order for this mod.
ps while the seats are out of the car why dont you put the seat heaters in? i am

Re: power seats

not to hijack the thread or anything, i just didnt wanna start another on the same topic....

i have a 99 formula, and the rpo's say it came with cloth seats, and i didnt notice it say power seats... when i bought it, it came with leather seats that werent power, but they other say i was cleaning it out, and under the driver seat is a lil connector under the carpet. i have no idea what its for, i could only imagine power seats. did gm wire it for power, but just not put in power seats...? im only asking cause i want cloth seats, so ill be getting rid of my leather ones, and i would prefer power seats if everything is already wired for it....

TIA
chris

Re: power seats

i think it's probably for your seat belt. they have a wire to remind you to put your seat belt on.

as for the power antenna, if this is true, someone show me how to do it. i have a power antenna in there, but i could never get it to work. i need some kind of relay switching device. i can make it go up and down manually by touching certain wires to each other, but i want to know how to wire it up so i can just leave it. by the way, this antenna is out of a 1996 pontiac bonneville.

Re: power seats

the seatbelt light works fine. when i put on my seatbelt, the light goes off. so i dont think the connector is for that, since its unplugged from whatever it does goto.

the antenna is powered by the radio. find the wire on the back of the radio that controls the antenna.

Re: power seats

Shoebox has a diagram of both sides power of a TA surely it had to be a option in camaros and if some one could make it work it would be truly unique. well i guess its gonna be my project to try to rig it up. if i take the extra drivers power that i have turn the rack 180 degrees bolt it into the pass seat and then flip the switiches upside down it shoul work correct?? Of course as long as i can find a way to wire it.
