I'm pretty sure you're hosed if you can't get to the car somehow to de-program it. I still have my Hypertech from my '99 S-10...

How bad was it totalled? If you can still get to the car and it at least powers up when you turn the key on, then you might be able to de-program it.

If not, Hypertech will set it back for you for a nominal fee.

I want to say it's around $50 to get it reset by Hypertech. Since you got yours for free, you could get it reset, then turn around and sell it for ~$150 and make a quick hundred bucks.
