Mine was making horrible noises and now it finally went out. Anyone know of any writeups on how to change out the motor? Anyone want to sell me one?

 

I don't think you can replace the motor. I think you have to buy the whole thing.

 

Anyone else agree with moparman? I could have sworn I've read about people replacing the motor. Also, what is this "mast" that people talk of...

 

I'm pretty sure you have to replace the whole thing. I think the motor can be swapped out its just no place sells it separately that i know of. The mast is the antenna itself.

 

Gotcha, thanks for the info. So you can swap a new motor in there, but they're hard to find, gotcha..

 

I've never seen how the power ants work on f-bods, but if it's like others i've seen, it's possible that just the mast broke and those are usually pretty cheap to replace. LIke i said, i don't know, but it's worth checking into.

 

The plastic gear strip is damaged.
