Went back to the old hood this weekend

Needed my headlights for the trip home, I just did the headlight fix to stop the grinding crap a few weeks ago, but havent needed them till saturday. When I did the fix, I got the right side to stop and the driver side only does it when it opens , no biggie....

BUT I get home and turn the lights off, the right side stays up so I pop the hood and just touch the motor and I could have fried a egg on the damn thing the manual **** just melted off...any longer would have been fire I think


Ideas This is the side the dont grind( or didnt grind) after the fix..

 

Wow, you got a pic of that? Maybe there is a short in the motor, and it stayed on the whole time or something, burning up on the inside?
