Pilar removal?

I need to remove my driver side pilar. What is the best way to get it off? Does it just pull off or do I need a tool to remove it. Thanks.

Re: Pilar removal?

If you have t-tops, remove that side's glass top.

Remove two Philip head screws at the top of the pillar and carefully remove it.

Re: Pilar removal?

I just re-checked my parts diagram, and yours appears to have 1 clip on the top inside of the pilar, and another clip on the center inside of Pilar.

Since there are no philip screws, I think it justs pulls off.

Re: Pilar removal?

The plastic pillar molding on the inside is held by 3 clips where the pillar molding meets the headliner and 2 clips where the pillar molding meets the windshield. When I have removed mine I gently pulled the pillar molding ( where it meets the headliner ) towards myself while I was standing outside the car releasing the 3 clips. Then I got inside the car and gently pulled the molding away from the windshield releasing the 2 other clips.

Don't mean to change the subject, but you are lucky to find a new dash pad. I just ordered one from my dealer last week and they are out of stock or on back order and may even now be possibly discontinued, however my GM guy said there are a few floating out there at different dealerships and GM would try to buy one back.
